A Reflection on Feedback & What I Changed:
My last elevator pitch received very positive feedback. People agreed that this is a huge problem here at the University of Florida and needs to be solves immediately. The only negative feedback I received was that it was a bit casual in manner/attire. To improve my elevator pitch this time around, I dressed in business attire and altered my speech a bit to make it a tad more mature and elegant.
Hi Nicole,
ReplyDeleteI completely relate and agree with this. I think it is completely insane that the school has such a big problem with parking. If you have a car and live close by parking is crazy on the street. If you live far you can't park your car on campus. Buses are available, yes. However, what about the 8:30 pm exams that finish at 10:00pm. How are students suppose to get back? I really like your idea and how you appeal to both the students and the school.

I like your idea and I wish they would take it into account. I'm just not sure where they would fit two more parking garages. When it comes to your actual delivery of the pitch, you did an overall awesome job! If there was one thing I think you could improve on, it would be put your hands down when you aren't using hand gestures instead of having them together. ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea. I agree with the fact that there is not enough parking, and that not everyone with a decal can secure a parking spot. This would help to reduce the parking problem, and it would definitely generate more profit for UF through the parking decals. My only questions would be where to put these parking garages, and how to get them close enough to where students' classes are so that they are worth the trouble to build. Overall, this is a great job, and it is definitely an idea that would help many students and even the university. If you would like to check out my blog the link is below.

Hi Nicole,
ReplyDeleteI think there is a huge problem with parking on campus. The only problem with building more parking lots, would be the space needed to do it. Gainesville is a fairly liberal town and clearing land to build a parking lot would make people fairly upset. The only way I think that UF can address this problem is build up. What I mean by building up, is building on top of the already existing parking lots/garages they have. The only thing I could offer is get excited about your idea, be energetic. Think of it as if you were talking to your friends about going out for your birthday.
