Top 5 World Problems

Biggest problems (mots serious to least serious):

1. World hunger
2. Endangered environment
3. Sex trafficking
4. Increasing poverty
5. Communism

Solutions (most implementable to least implementable):
1. (Endangered environment) Businesses can develop a sustainable environment while in production of their goods and services.
2. (Increasing poverty) The government can create jobs where there is no pay gap between women and men. 90% of homeless families are headed by women.
3. (Sex trafficking) The judicial branch of government should give people involved with this crime the maximum punishment in order to deter others from committing such crimes.
4. (World hunger) Restaurants should be able to give away food that would be thrown out anyways to homeless people in their local communities.
5. (Communism) The Unites States should put more pressure on communist leaders to free their people.

I picked world hunger as my biggest problem because it negatively impacts all nations and all kinds of people. Millions of people in the world are starving and even though we cannot help them all at once, we can start by helping those in our very own communities. I believe my top solution to the endangered environment is the most implementable because many businesses are already encouraging and practicing sustainable development and have remained very profitable.

  1. World hunger is a top problem that should really be easily preventable. In a world with an abundance of food, no one should be hungry. So, I understand why you placed this at the top of your ordered list. I think that your top solution is also very easily implementable. Businesses should always be aware of their practices and make sure to keep the effects of their production to the environment at a minimum. 2. Hello Nicole!

I found your top 5 problems and solutions to be interesting. I liked how you thought about each problem, offered a solution and a fact or two. When you mentioned shortening the gap in pay wage between women and men, I was struck by what you said! I did not know that around 90% of homeless families are headed by women. I agree with your stance on world hunger. It is a pressing issue and should be addressed little by little. We both had similar ideas and solutions, like having the United States put pressure on oppressive governments to eliminate communism. Here is my blog!

  3. Nicole ,

I agree with you that World Hunger is a top problem as it affects all types of people across the globe. It is a serious issue that has to be addressed asap. I also enjoyed your top solution, although I did think it was going to be to another issue more at the top of your list. But overall really enjoyed your post.
